The 2026 Lexus Plug-In Hybrid lineup includes the Lexus NX 450h+, Lexus RX 450h+, and Lexus TX 550h+, giving drivers the flexibility of electric range without the limitations of a fully electric vehicle. At Lexus of Wilmington, we want every Lexus Plug-In Hybrid owner to feel confident finding a charge wherever they are.
How Your Lexus PHEV Charges
All three 2026 Lexus Plug-In Hybrid models come standard with a dual-voltage charging cable supporting both 120V (Level 1) and 240V (Level 2) outlets. Every model uses the standard J1772 connector, compatible with the vast majority of public stations. On Level 2, the Lexus NX 450h+ and Lexus TX 550h+ reach a full charge in approximately three hours. The Lexus RX 450h+ charges in approximately two-and-a-half hours.
One minor cautionary note: Lexus Plug-In Hybrid models do not support Level 3 DC fast charging. Level 2 is the maximum. Our Lexus EVs, on the other hand, support all three levels.
Charging in Wilmington
The Wilmington area has strong public charging coverage. ChargePoint® and Blink® maintain charging stations across the city at retail centers, parking garages, and municipal facilities. Whether you’re here or far from home, the Lexus App™ and a number of third-party charging apps let you filter for compatible stations while you’re out and about.
Home Charging
For most Lexus Plug-In Hybrid owners, overnight Level 2 charging at home is the most convenient and consistent option. A licensed electrician can install a 240V outlet or dedicated EVSE in your garage, keeping your battery full each morning. Your Lexus dealer can refer you to a qualified installer.
