The 500 LS trim offers 3 styles: the LS, the LS F Sport, and the LS Hybrid. Each style boasts a 416-horsepower, V6 engine. The non-hybrids have twin-turbo engines while the hybrid offers the Lexus Multistage Hybrid Drive engine. Each style comes in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models.
2. Luxurious Features
Standard on all LS 500 styles are the iconic pushbutton start and stop, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming mirrors, and a power moonroof. The high-end F-Sport model also offers a leather-trimmed, performance-inspired sporty trim, aluminum pedals, and heated rear seats. The hybrid offers leather and wood trim, a 28-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with multifunction massage and cushion extender, and heated rear seats. A generous variety of upgrade packages are also offered for each style.
3. Acceleration and Fuel Efficiency
The non-hybrid LS models can accelerate from 0 to 60 seconds in a mere 4.6 seconds. With such sporty luxury, this sedan still boasts good fuel economy. The non-hybrid styles provide 17-18 mpg in the city and 27-29 mpg on the highway. The hybrid style provides 23-25 mpg in the city and 29-33 mpg on the highway.
4. Smooth Ride
Lexus is known for its incredibly smooth ride. Drivers love the quiet and calm drive and this model does not disappoint! This car is “library quiet” on the highway due to a tweaked active-noise-cancellation system. In addition, the drive remains stable and unaffected by broken pavement in tests.
5. Modern Technology
The 2021 model gets a facelift with its new infotainment system. The 12.3-inch screen improves upon previous years with touchscreen functionality, and the enclosure is now a tablet-looking panel that’s placed slightly closer to the driver’s seat. All LS models come with Amazon Alexa and Apple CarPlay capability. Android Auto joins in on the smartphone integration technology. In addition, all models include navigation and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
6. Superior Safety
Keep your loved ones safe with Lexus’ superior safety features. The engineers thought carefully about security, so airbags, driveline traction control, an ABS brake system, stability control, and more are standard. All trims include the Safety System+ 2.0 suite, and Lexus Enform Safety Connect provides roadside assistance. Other notable safety features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and standard adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist.
