Mikimoto’s
For a fancy night out, we suggest heading to the glamorous Mikimoto’s for fresh sushi and dim sum. Not only does Mikimoto’s make a killer tray of sashimi, but they also work closely with the Big Fish charitable foundation to support underprivileged children in Delaware. So, you know that the next time you go there for dinner, you are helping our State’s most innocent and vulnerable citizens.
For starters, we recommend the Sunomono Special, which contains all of your favorite Japanese flavors; cucumber, wakame seaweed, Kani, octopus, shrimp, whitefish, and a delicious ponzu sauce. If you’re sharing with a friend and the two of you are adventurous, try the Mikimoto Chef’s Choice for a great selection of sushi and sashimi. Finally, you have to try the Green Monster tempura. You’ll love it!
Tokyo Sushi
For an almost overwhelmingly large selection of delicious raw fish, we recommend Tokyo Sushi! It’s got everything from Bento boxes to teriyaki and katsu to sashimi. If you’re in the mood for a classic hand roll, try the Salmon Avocado Cream Cheese Roll, or if you’re feeling more daring, why not go for a crunchy Wedgewood Roll?
We love the excellent specials at Tokyo Sushi. There are some fantastic 8-piece combos you can get to share with friends. We love the popular Brooklyn Roll plate for a spicy little zing.
Minato Japanese Restaurant
Minato’s is the place to go if you’re looking for sushi with an interesting twist. Choose from a selection of cold or hot sushi plates; if you can’t decide what you want, you can opt for the Sampler selections. Vegetarians will be pleased to know there is a Vegetarian Sampler, which comes with the chef’s choice of 4 different vegetarian sushi rolls.
