The beaches at Wrightsville Beach, Kure Beach, and Carolina Beach are great for swimming, fishing, and sunbathing. You can also enjoy a picnic on the beach or take a walk on one of the trails through the dunes.
Rockford Park
Rockford Park is a great park for families. It’s located in Newark, about 20 minutes from Wilmington. The park has a playground, picnic area, and walking trails on the banks of White Clay Creek.
The playground has plenty of activities for kids to enjoy. There are swings, slides, and climbing structures. There’s also a huge sandbox where kids can build sand castles or make sand pies. If you love nature, Rockford Park is perfect for you! You can take hiking trails along the creek or just walk along the banks while admiring nature’s beauty. Rockford Park is open year-round from dawn to dusk every day except Christmas Day.
