Located on the southeastern corner of the state of New Jersey, Atlantic City is known for its many luxury hotels, casinos, and vibrant nightlife. Getting here from downtown Wilmington takes about an hour and a half by car, driving 85 miles along route 1-95.

One of the most popular attractions in Atlantic City and a great spot to start exploring the area is the Atlantic City Boardwalk, considered the first and largest in the entire world. 3. Susquehanna State Park

Established in the early 1960s and covering an area of almost 2,800 acres, Susquehanna State Park is a public recreation area that offers plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. This nature reserve is managed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and can be reached in about 45 minutes by car from downtown Wilmington, driving southwest along route I-95.
